MDMA "ECSTASY"

   
Popular among teens at "rave parties". Generally in tablet form, though varying colors, and varying degrees of content. Ecstasy is known to produce strong feelings of comfort, empathy, and intense sensations. Pacifiers, glow sticks, and glowing necklaces, are often associated with it’s use.

Usual Method: Oral; Injected
Possible Effects: Strong feelings of comfort, empathy, Illusions and hallucinations; Altered perception of time and distance
Effects of Overdose: Longer, more intense "trip" episodes; Psychosis; Possible death
Withdrawal Syndrome: Unknown
Paraphernalia, Packaging: Pacifiers; Sandwich baggies or ziplock baggies
Signs and Symptoms: Extremely dilated pupils; Warm skin; Excessive perspiration and body odor; Distorted sense of sight, hearing, and touch; Distorted image of self and time; Mood and behavior changes; Unpredictable flashback episodes, even long after withdrawal (although these are rare)
